Windfall CB

1995 Black Hanoverian Stallion
Windfall is no longer available for breeding, he has moved on to greener pastures

Licensed American Hanoverian Society (AHS), Hannoveraner Verband (HV)

Windfall CB, a 1995 black Hanoverian stallion by Weltmeyer, at the recommendation of the head administration of the Hanoverian breed society in Germany, was selected by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police breeding farm in Ottawa as a sire of future mounts for cadets to ride in the world famous Muscial Ride. This advice proved inspired as the jet-black Windfall fillies born in 2015, according to farm manager John Phillips, are “exceptional” and have been streamlined for training to be Musical ride performers. Former Musical Ride coach, Sgt. K. Miller opined the Dreamcatcher Meadows fillies were the best foals she’d ever seen born on the farm. Windfall CB was the first non-RCMP-owned stallion selected as a sire by the RCMP. Formerly at stud at Olympian Charlotte Bredahl’s farm in California, his many progeny are reknowned for their steady temperaments, easy trainability and talent in the show ring.

Windfall CB is a famous Weltmeyer son, having stood at stud for well over a decade in both Canada and the United States, with progeny successful in most disciplines, notably dressage and sporthorse competiton. Offspring are popular with pleasure riders and both amateur and professional competitors.  His own dressage  accolades while competed by Bredahl include 2001 USDF 3rd level Horse of the Year (median score 72.33%); 2002 AHS 4th level Horse of the Year (median 68.8%); USDF Intermediare 1 Horse of the Year (median 71.13%). Purchased by Dreamcatcher Meadows in 2011, his  exceptional genetics, have produced strong results for both the farms own breeding program and for clients with mares of diverse background.  His semen is of exceptional quality, ships well and is known to be an excellent choice for difficult, first-time or older mares.  He tends to pass his beautiful black color, kind temperament, good bone, refined head and is generally a “mare maker”.  Most notably perhaps, is that wins of the the homebred Dreamcatcher competition horses individually placing in the USDG Horse of the Year annual awards that have resulted in Dreamcatcher Meadows winning Sporthorse Breeder of the Year for 2013, 2014 and 2015, three of the requisite five homebreds were sired by Windfall!  North Americans are well advised to choose Windfall, now 22, to take advantage of the international star genetics available right in their own back yard.  Typically ships for delivery next business day.

Windfall comes from the Hanoverian foundation mother-line, Isabare, born 1884. Lady Weingard, a very successful jumping horse in the late 1990s under Markus Beerbaum is bred from this line. His grandsire Fashion King and dam, Fergie, as well as his granddam Liebelei were one of the earliest approvals for the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program (Fergie, herself receiving a 10 for scope in jumping, demonstrates genetic versatility producing another Weltmeyer son successful in dressage up to S-level.

He passes on characteristics essential to those seeking the epitome of the modern sporthorse: a strong topline, beautiful head, gymnastic ability with incredible suspension – and, perhaps most importantly, a wonderful temperament. Prior to standing at Dreamcatcher Meadows, his progeny accomplishments included: 2003 daughter Wishful was 2004 LAEC winner; son Windsor swept the winnings at his debut Training level (top score 76%); daughter Wictoria was AHS top mare in her AHS inspection with 9 for walk and 8 for trot. The success of progeny born at Dreamcatcher Meadows include Wickipedia DMV (debut highest score 2014 USDF Spokane Spectacular), Westminster DMV (champion yearling colt USDF Region 6 Championships)(, Wunderbar DMV champion yearling colt 2015 Spokane Spectacular) , Wishing Star DMV (filly champion 2015 Whidbey Island & Spokane Spectacular)
