“Happy horses are the goal” - John

Champion FEI and Young Horse Trainer, John Dingle is known for producing horses that are not only title winners, but ride-able horses with superb temperaments, gaits, and above all: happy athletes.

Originally from Bath, England, John was an animal lover from day one. A dairy farmer for the majority of his life, he affectionately refers the farm and horses at Dreamcatcher Meadows as his “retirement”. Although known for his success as a young horse trainer, John also finds great pride and accomplishment coaching his students and their horses to work in harmony and create healthy, happy partnerships.

John first started to turn heads as a young horse trainer in 2011, when homebred Ballerina DMV earned USDF 3 year old Mare Material Horse of the Year…and then won the four/five year old Material Horse of the Year the following two years. In 2012, Ballerina earned the highest median among all four and five year old material classes with a record setting average median score of 88.5%!

Since then, John and the homebred Dreamcatcher Meadows horses have brought home numerous ribbons, championships, titles, and national awards. His success in the young horse classes paired with success in the breed championships has earned Dreamcatcher Meadows the USDF Sporthorse Breeder of the Year Award three years in a row. This coveted honour is based on competition results from breeders coast to coast and is a testament to both the breeding and training of the Dreamcatcher Meadow’s Horses.

Aside from the horses and animals, john spearheads the renovations and “home” improvements around the farm. Each year he finds something new that needs building or sprucing up. The cross country jumps, outdoor arena, designer round-pen, and the custom built stall fronts are just some of the projects john has created.
