2009 Hanoverian Inspection - Results
Dear British Columbian Breeders,
On Monday July 19, 2010 we will be hosting our second Hanoverian mare inspection and foal registration at our farm in Pemberton, BC. Dr. Ludwig Christmann from the Hannoveraner Verband has again kindly agreed to attend as judge for the inspection of mares as well as carry out the foal branding and registration. Dr. Christmann is also prepared to advise with respect to any young stallion prospects. We are looking forward to this opportunity to meet other British Columbia breeders and hope that many of you can attend. It is an opportunity to meet, talk about our horses and encourage everyone to expand their knowledge about the breed both here, in the US and Europe.
Information with respect to the inspection has been posted on the web site of the Hanoverian Breeding Club of Western Canada at www.canadianhanoverians.com. You can see at this site the requirements for eligibility of horses. As noted Thoroughbred, Arab, Anglo-Arab and Warmblood mares with 4 generations of approved populations are eligible to be registered as Hanoverian if they pass their inspection.
You may have or know of foals from approved sires and if the dams can be approved these foals may be registered with the Hannoveraner Verband. A growing mare pool is the best way to grow the breed here in British Columbia.

If you have mares which you think may be eligible you need to forward a copy of their papers to Dr. Christmann in order to have them inspected.
