Dreammaster DMV, born in 2003, was bred by Dreamcatcher Meadows utilizing embryo transfer. This 16.3hh liver chestnut Hanoverian Stallion exhibits the finest traits of his celebrity parents: sire Dimaggio, the 2002 World Breeding Champion, and dam Dreamcatcher Elite (registered as EM Daisy Dee), an FEI award winning dressage competitor in the UK, Canada, and USA. It is rare to have both parents with exceptional high level competition records. Master’s own offspring also demonstrate his inherited beauty, temperament, and fabulous movement.
Dreammaster DMV dazzled the sport horse and dressage world with his 2010 debut in the US, winning numerous championships: Hanoverian breed Champion at Devonwood by earning the highest score of 33 top Hanoverians including Grand Prix Level competitors; Grand Champion at the Spokane Spectacular Sport Horse Show; and multiple championships at the 2010 USDF breed final in Spanaway, WA. His scores ranged from 75 to 88%. The American Warmblood Society awarded him Supreme status during his licensing approval and then named him the 2010 Inspection Stallion of the Year. He was 4th overall in the 2010 USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Stallion of the Year. Olympic Bronze medalist Charlotte Bredahl-Baker trained Dreammaster to the FEI levels. When the new partnership debuted in dressage competition they rarely stepped outside the winner’s circle.
Dreammaster DMV’s extravagant yet correct paces consistently earn “9’s” from judges. Charlotte found his firmly established basic training gained at Dreamcatcher Meadows, and inherent trainability, prepared him well for learning the advanced FEI work. In addition to comprehensive clean x-rays, his 2011 competition results exceeded the show show requirement element necessary to present him for Hanoverian breeding licensing. The inspection was held in August 2011 at Rainbow Equus Meadows in Sacramento, CA, before the American and German licensing committee. They unanimously passed, stressing his temperament and focus were very apparent on the day. The young stallion obediently performed for his original trainer, John Dingle, who presented him in-hand and under saddle, at an unfamiliar stud with other stallions and mares running around in their paddocks right next to the arena. One judge defined him as “the epitome of the modern sport horse”. Under the scrutiny of seven judges, they agreed he was an important new addition and opportunity for North American breeding. Master’s licensing has also been featured in Warmbloods Today, and can be read by clicking the link below:
In November 2011, Dreammaster DMV was awarded three Horse of the Year titles at the annual USDF convention. The American Warmblood Society presented him with the All-Breeds Prix St. Georges Open Championship, the Dressage Horse of the Year, and the FEI Horse of the Year. AWS President Kathy Wilson enthused: “This is exciting because tDressage Horse of the Year is calculated on scores for all horses/all levels. It (the award) typically goes to a lower level horse that may have a higher percentage.” The USEF coaching team had the opportunity to meet Dreammaster DMV after the awards event when Charlotte rode him at the USDF Symposium in Del Mar. One commentator described him as a “masterpiece”. Dreammaster continues his training back at Dreamcatcher Meadows and is currently competing Intermediate I and schooling Grand Prix with head trainer John Dingle.
The offspring of Dreammaster DMV establish him as a “mare maker”. He has progeny from a diverse group of mares: embryo transfers from Hanoverians, natural breedings to Thoroughbreds, and warmbloods with strong jumping pedigrees. Offspring consistently demonstrate Dreammaster’s loving temperament, easy trainability, and exceptional paces. His eldest son, Mastermind DMV, a 2007 gelding out of a Thoroughbred mare, won the FEI 4 year old championship in both Canadian and American competition. One daughter is successful in the hunter arena and another son is also excelling in dressage. His latest son, Demonstrator DMV, was a premium foal at his Hanoverian inspection and branding in September 2014. Breeding bookings are limited as Dreammaster’s primary focus is training and competing.
