In 2010 our facility Dreamcatcher Meadows located in Pemberton, British Columbia was evacuated due to two infringing fires in the BC lower mainland area. Warmbloods Magazine published a two part account of the 2010 Meager Creek wildfires. With British Columbia going through another extremely difficult wildfire summer we extend our thanks to the tireless efforts of the BC Wildfire Department and send our thoughts and prayers to the communities that have been affected. In this two part article Dreamcatcher Meadows owners Jill Giese and John Dingle recount their first hand account as they evacuated their breeding facility along with their 50+ thorough breed horses as the Meager Creek wildfire reached within kilometers of their farm. Click below to read both Part 1 and Part 2 of their story.
